Investment Week LA Hackathon 2023: The Future Is Now

Rules:

  • Eligibility: Open to all individuals aged 18 and above.

  • Team Composition: Teams should comprise 2-5 members. Solo entries are not permitted.

  • Originality: Projects should be original and developed during the hackathon period.

  • Third-party Tools: The use of third-party tools, libraries, or frameworks is permitted, but they must be credited in the submission.

  • Intellectual Property: Participants retain rights to their submissions, but the organizers may showcase or use the projects for promotional purposes.

  • Code of Conduct: Maintain a respectful and inclusive environment. Harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior will result in disqualification.

Project and Submission Requirements:

  • Source Code: A link to a public repository with a README file.

  • Presentation Deck: A slide deck about the problem, solution, market potential, and technology.

  • Team Details: Information about team members, their roles, and expertise.

  • Additional Materials (Optional): Supplementary materials to support your submission.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection:

  • Innovation & Originality (25%): Groundbreaking approach and fresh perspective.

  • Relevance to Challenge Themes (20%): Alignment with hackathon themes and problem statements.

  • Technical Implementation (20%): Robustness and scalability of the solution.

  • User Experience & Design (15%): User-centricity and design intuitiveness.

  • Potential Impact & Feasibility (10%): Real-world impact and practicality.

  • Presentation & Documentation (10%): Clarity and quality of communication and documentation.
